バナナ • Banana

Bananas are high in Potassium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, biotin, and copper. Bananas are also high in fiber, that can help your dog’s digestion and subsequently with them going to poo. It also contains magnesium, which promotes bone growth and helps the body produce protein and absorb vitamins. They are low in cholesterol and sodium, making them a healthy alternative to their savory snacks.

However, it’s good to provide them these Kuro Snacks in moderation. Although they are lower in calories, they do have high sugar content. Too much of a good thing can be bad. Bananas should be given as a treat, not part of your dog’s main meal. If your dog has diabetes, it might be best not to feed your dog bananas. Be careful of your dog overeating bananas as they can upset the tummy.

Be careful of the banana peels though. They aren’t toxic, but they are generally harder to digest and may actually cause blockages.

If your dog has not tasted bananas before, do take note of how your dog reacts to it, adjusting to new food may mean an upset tummy, but if it is prolonged, you might want to try another alternative. Do also note that there is a small risk that your dog might be allergic to bananas. If you see the signs of an allergic reaction, including swelling, hives, difficulty breathing, sneezing, coughing, or other symptoms, you should stop feeding your dog bananas and get in touch with your your vet right away.
