Pet Trackers Other Than Apple AirTag
For Kuro, we use the Apple AirTag, but there are some other alternatives to choose from, that may even be more affordable. First and foremost, never forget that the most important thing to have for your dog (or cat) is to have a simple ID tag. A tracker should be an added measure.
When choosing one, you need to examine the use cases. Some work off based on proximity, some have GPS functionality. The major difference is cost, but again it’s backed against your needs and requirements.

The other most important things to make sure you train your dog. We’ve trained Kuro on the following:
Never to run off on her own (we are still working on it).
How to get home if she’s in the neighbourhood (although we live in an apartment, so the lift might be an issue but she does come back into the block on a loose leash).
Never run out of the house (Success!).
And we never let her go off leash, she is a Shiba Inu after all.
